Krystyna Lipka-Sztarbałło
Illustrator, graduate of the Fine Arts Academy In Warsaw. The illustrator of more than 30 books for children and textbooks published in Poland and 7 published abroad. Winner of numerous domestic awards and the BIB Medal in 2001. She was added to the International IBBY List of Honour for illustrations in Anna Onichimowska’s story “The Dream that Went Away” (”Sen który odszedł”) Co-curator of national presentations in Frankfurt (2000) and Bologne (2003). She is convinced that the expression “See you!” (polish ‘Do zobaczenia’) and “See you later” were invented by illustrators. She lives in Warsaw.
