Jakub Guterman

Painter and illustrator. Born in Poland, but has been living in Israel for many years. He studied literature and art. He has illustrated about 170 books, both in Israel and abroad. He publishes children’s poetry and his own translations of literary works from various languages, and also does work for magazines. He has been a member of the Haogen Kibbutz for many years.
Three books have been published in Poland: “Kartki z Pożogi” by Symcha Guterman, Jakub’s father, with a foreword and illustrations by his son, published by Towarzystwo Naukowe Płockie in 2004; “Parasolka”, with a text and illustrations by Jakub Guterman, published by Clio, Lublin 2004; “Mały Księżyc” (“The little Moon”) by Joanna Papuzińska with Jakub Guterman’s illustrations, published by Literatura, Łódź 2005.
